still not finished
..but i will be soon. this weekend, in fact. really i should have at least had all my parts assembled by now, but i've been feeling odd this week, going to sleep hours earlier than is normal for me, being more off-balance than usual, so on and so forth. that, and my arm has been hurting, so i've been trying to take it easy. there has been some progress, but i refuse to post another picture of rogue until it is finished.
speaking of finishing, i might be just a tiny bit short on yarn. i'll get the sleeves done no problem, and i'll have enough to get the sleeves into the armholes, but i might not have enough to seam up the arms. (yes, i should have ordered one skein more than the pattern called for.)
so i made a quick trip to the yarn shop. i don't go there often, as the selection isn't that spectacular, but they're always so helpful! i pulled out my wee ball of yarn, and explained that i needed something similar to do some seaming, and instead of pointing me to the yarn for sale, the store owner dug into her own leftover bins, and came up with what looks like a brown version of the very same yarn that i'm using! since the arm seams won't show at all, that'll work for me! i think that when it's all finished, i'll return the leftover yarn to her, show off my sweater, and probably bring some baked goods or something. it was super nice of her to just give me her own yarn.
of course, i still needed to buy something, so i picked up a lovely skein of silk garden, and a plain wool in a plum color. this might become a fake isle hat, to be donated to the yarn harlot's hat drive. hopefully i won't find myself becoming too attached to it...

And if i wasn't talking to the bus driver, telling him that it wasn't my phone ringing, I'd have gotten your call. ;)
