socks, and more socks
some time ago, i recall thinking that i would never knit socks. too fiddly, and socks that i can buy at the store are perfectly adequate. it would be silly to knit such things. and yet, here i am, knitting nothing but socks. i love the tiny little needles, and the fun options of yarn, and the cute little rows of perfect little stitches. (well, i'm hoping for perfect little stitches. it may not actually turn out that way.)
my latest pair. yes, i was anal enough to bother with trying to match the stripes. i think it's about half a row off from matching exactly, which is good enough for me.
here's how the stuff i dyed this weekend is knitting up. i'm still pretty smitten with it. (i also still don't have a name for the colorway. oh well.) it's super soft, and i'm kind of worried that maybe it's too soft to wear well. it's knitpicks bare superwash, so it sounds sturdy enough?
