not to say that i like seaming..
but setting the sleeves in to my rogue wasn't nearly as heinous as expected. time consuming and fiddly, yes, but not the hateful task i thought it would be. and it looks pretty damn good, if i do say so myself. i'm sure i did a few things that weren't exactly proper knitting approved, but whatever, i have a sweater! with arms! arms that are attached! and excessive punctuation!!
hooray for lousy photos! it's raining out, and i'm the only one here, so there you go, the obligatory "disgusting mirror that will never be clean", and the completely cheesy "in the bathroom with the camera remote" shots. you know you love them. just like i mostly love my sweater, though it actually is a little bigger than i thought it would be. it doesn't look so much like it, but there's a whole lot of room in the back there. probably i could have gone with a smaller size, and just added in a little shaping. oh well.
oh, and the seaming? and the "oh no i'm running out of yarn!" hysteria? totally uncalled for. didn't even use any of the yarn the shop woman gave me (so i'm heading out to return it.) here's how much i have left of my own yarn. i'd say i used about 6.75 balls of yarn for this.
clearly, seaming does not take the miles of yarn that i thought it would.

It looks incredible! I think the fact that you have leftover yarn like that is hysterical. ;) Truly. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
